My Thoughts on Dr Cornel West
Dr Cornel West pontificates about how you will have to believe that you can go beyond mediocrity and how there is a difference between success and greatness. Cornell says how success can be poisonous and blind you in your own quest to greatness. You can never confuse success with greatness because success can lead you to catastrophe. People always see the American Dream as self gain, being successful, and having a lot of money but it’s not because when you think it is like that, you end up alone instead of being more accepted or happy. That is why many people that are successful are not happy in life because they may have a lot of things but are lonely and feel that they are not great. They may seem like they are very confident and have high self esteem when they are actually not and just want to be successful but also be great at the same time. What Cornell West was basically pontificating about was that success can be good until a point where it stops you from greatness.
